Yep, Hasbro has been unreasonably kind to this fandom. It’s an interesting situation because the show caught on among cheapskate internet people. Rather than trying to extort money from us, which would have run us off, they decided to relax their control and hope that the larger number of low-paying customers would add up to more than a smaller group of high-paying customers. So in essence they’re sharing the profits of scale with us, rather than hoarding it all like a regular corporation. I want to see more companies follow suit in the future, so I don’t want to hoard all the money for myself either :)

You can apply this to any show that has a substantial following.

so far we have been getting a pretty damn decent quality show. hasbro has been a bit more offhands it seems, lesser controlly, and thus it can flourish and improve over time.
 
fortunately it is not exactly mnaipulative either…… unlike most media.

Keep producing an entertaining show and we’ll support the merchandise. Your move.
