Heh, which one was it where the Pones were supposedly high-schoolers or something, but wearing rollerskates, eating peetzers, and “talking about boys”…. I wanna say it was in the late-80s timeframe.

I always thought it was like a shower with a power sprayer and a soap dispenser feeding soap into the the stream. But now that you mention it, yeah. how?

An episode wherein they incidentally show or explain how earth ponies and pegasi wash themselves would be great. I mean aside from just sitting in a tub full of water.
 
Even if they just show ponies lying down and using their long flexible necks and a brush to wash… you know, moving like real horses, that’d be great. Horses doing horse things that are consistent with their anatomy is one of the things I like about this show and that sets it apart from the previous (more mindless) generations, where every action and animation is so lazily anthropomorphized.

Celestia: “Remember that time you were having a shower, but then the soap suddenly got possessed and started attacking you all over your body, making you all soapy?”
 
Twilight: “Yeah, I remember that, that was one of the most horrifying experiences I’ve ever had.”
 
Celestia: “Well, it turned out there was some invisible pony there who was causing that all to happen. And I rescued you from them.”
 
Twilight: “Oh, thanks. Wait, well, then how come I didn’t see you there?”
 
^Celestia:* “Because I was invisible.”
 
Twilight: “Oh. Wait… you were invisible?”
 
Celestia: “Yeah, uh… you know… because…you have to be invisible yourself in order to see another invisible pony. Whoever they were.”
 
Twilight: “Oh, okay, that makes sense.”
