Let’s not forget to mention that the show is so heavily adored by the network that it dominates most of the schedule. Now Cartoon Network is no stranger to flaunting their own programming if it’s really successful for them, however it became obnoxious for folks who didn’t like the show and wanted to avoid it. The “Your New Favorite Show” tagline it used last year didn’t help matters either and fanned the flames of hatred towards it. Last month, the show had a three day After Thanksgiving Marathon showing every episode nonstop from 6am to 9pm.
 
Combine all this, and you have a show that most older fans despise.

it’s not a bad show on its own. it is, however, 90% ruthless insults to the original series and anyone who loved it. the only thing I can think of more spiteful to its fans is the new jem movie. teen titans go take every opportunity to have a character act in a way or end up in a situation that will anger people who know it.
 
meanwhile everyone else is looking at this frothing rage and saying, “I don’t get it. what’s so wrong with making poop jokes about that cloak girl?”
 
if you know of “the watchmen” then watch this then imagine it being played straight, for 4 seasons and counting, with not a single hint of the original coming back at all. that is why people hate teen titans go. it makes ned flanders look like mr. rogers.

I have to know. Have you ever actually watched the show, or dismissed it just because of how it looks? I thought it looked stupid and wasn’t going to watch it, but one day at the laundromat I was washing my clothes and they had a marathon of it on. Obviously it’s not as good as the original, but I certainly didn’t find it to be a bad show on it’s own, especially as they kept all the original voice actors.
