True, though I’m referring Poly to being in a romantic relationship with more than one person, not loving more than one person. We also have to remember that love involves sacrifices and faithfulness, and the system you’re referring to involves one-to-one marriages, which is sticking to one person to be in a serous romantic relationship with for the rest of your life, and not cheating on them or sleeping with anyone else beside them. That’s also my view on romantic love, so that may give you an idea of what I’ll likely say.

Eh, let’s be careful here; I have my reasons to be skeptical of anthro polygamy too (especially as it’s a ‘cheat’ for lazy writers), but let’s take it easy on the eye-rolling.  
Nothing says you can’t love more than one person.  
In fact, the 4-type system I mentioned (the 4th is the love between man and God - they were a famously religious people, even if it’s easy to forget) kinda assumes you’re gonna love more than one person at any given time.  
Calling ‘poly’ petty is insensitive (because even if it turns out you’re right, you really should phrase it gentler when it’s such a personal subject - for the same reason you generally shouldn’t say ‘your family traditions are moronic’ or ‘your ancestral home was clearly designed by someone with no artistic talents whatsoever’)  
And unless you can back it up with some real hard facts, it’s also arrogant: There’s a fair number of people who think Poligamy can work, what right do you have to dismiss the chance that they’re right? We know far too little about human psychology - it’s unlikely that they are, but not impossible.

Yeah, I would love to see more friendship than romance as well. Too often I feel that people are too much into the fantasy of romance that they forget that there’s more that two types of love (and some even forget the family one and create incest). That’s part of why I only have one ship that I truly support, and call poly ships “petty” at best.

I’m a lot more interested in seeing how they’ll handle converting love into friendship - if I wanted to see friendship changed into love, I’d watch just about any ‘happy’ romantic movie (or book, anime, manga, oral story… Love often starts out as friendship)
 
It’s not a lesser bond anyway; By the belief of the ancient Greek, and I actually find myself agreeing with a lot of it, ‘Philia’ (love between friends) is just as important as ‘Eros’ (romantic love) or ‘Storge’ (family love, especially between in-equals (parents and child, for example))  
Actually, some would claim they held Philia above Eros, but we can chalk that up to cultural differences.
 
Mind, ‘Philia’ isn’t the bond between you and the guy you go out drinking with once in a blue moon, and then don’t think about the rest of the time.  
It’s the ‘brother in arms’, or the kind of ‘true friend’ people mean when they say ‘A good friend would bail you out of jail. A true friend would have gotten thrown in with you’
 
Heck, while I wrote the above from memory, google gave me this as an example:  
“A good friend will be there for you all through school. A true friend will be there till the day you die.”  
To repeat: “A true friend will be there till the day you die.”  
One might say that a ‘true’ friend (a ‘philia’ friend) will be with you “[…] from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death […]”  
So, yeah, one might notice a few similarities between how people think of really close friends and how they think of their husband or wife :P (Some differences too, but they are different types of love - if there were none, they’d just both be called Philia and the Greek could save themselves a word)
 
Bit of a disclaimer, though; I’m saying this as someone who suspects themselves of being ‘aromantic’ (alternatively, pan-romantic with a weak romantic impulse - hard to tell the difference when you’re not asexual), so my grasp of ‘romantic love’ is probably almost as bad as the average poet.  
But eh, either way, I’d love to see the #1 Assistant start hanging out with the Princess of Books again.

It’s obvious that Vavacung’s leaving the door open for Spike and Twilight to get together later. Look at the queen’s list of potential actions, and you’ll see an option to switch to the love route, which requires “Intel.”

According to the description, it’s hinted at polygamy being legal, which explains things a bit. People are going to hate me for saying this, but polygamy are a piss-poor excuse if we’re talking about love. Also, we have to consider that Vava’s older fans are contributing to these, the ones that are more interested in non-human porn than a good story.

Why? Spike seems happy with AJ and their child, so forcing him to hook up with someone he sees as a sister is a bad idea.
