Spelling out loud why the pairing and the EQGverse can’t work and is awful fanfic tier

There is fanfic about this. Flash is hilarious when he’s out of his depth (like a pogo stick in the ocean) – and he and Sunset are just too cute together!

Yeah, I was wondering if he got the message there. Twilight’s a pony. After what happened in EQG, I’m sure he probably knows Sunset is one, too. So him trying to hint about her and him getting back together is slightly eyebrow-raising.

This is so goddamned cute. I can’t decide whether the added dialogue in this edit makes it even cuter.

Truth!

They’re the same species no matter which side of the mirror they meet on, and they’re both intelligent, rational, sapient beings who speak the same language, so I don’t see what the problem is.

I don’t really care about the sex. I looked at this from a logical perspective. I see it from both sides of the fence and see that it doesn’t matter if two individuals in question want to engage in an adulterous manner. If both parties are of equal understanding intelligence A.E. Sentient beings. Then the act should not be considered bestiality but trans-species. The definition for bestiality is: Having sexual intercourse with a being of lesser intelligence.
 
I see no indication of that here. Sunset appears human and choses human form so she is in affect Human.  
Also I have no fear of making these debates under my name. There is no shame in intelligent converse.

It’s not like they can turn Flash into a 10 no matter what they do. He has a dick (and not a trap), so people are always going to find a reason to not like him. I mean realistically he’s just a teenager, he’s not supposed to have this histrionic, essentric personality.

I think it could work surprisingly nicely if Flash actually just wants to be her friend.  
My ex and I were best friends afterwards in high school and breaking the stereotype that girls and guys can’t just be bros would fit with MLP’s overall message.

I still feel it’s forced, because once again he is being reduced to just be a love interest for the sake of being a love interest.

I’m glad Sunset moved from a dishonest relationship with him (dating him to be popular) to giving him a chance at honest friendship.
 
Bad girls turning around melts my heart, and is almost 1/3rd of the reason I love MLP.

I enjoyed the little moments of Flash in the new movie. You got to see some of his character without it being forced down. Whole thing with Sunset was cute as hell.
