It would depend on what country are they set in, if they are from USA or EU it might be hard but the second world countries really have extremely weak law enforcement when it comes to internet copyrights, for example meanwhile you can get a fine from FBI in US for torrenting, authority in countries in south america like Brazil, Argentina or west europe like Russia doesn’t even know what torrent is.
The original Mane6 developing team was set in the US and Hasbro could have taken them to court there, but in these other countries this kind of process really leads to nowhere.
If the game is still being worked on, which it might be. I’m pretty certain that the development team is planning on adding more characters.
I’m also really hoping they don’t get shut down by Hasbro, because that would be depressing D:
And yet Gilda, Derpy, and Octavia still are not available.

While TFH is not finalized I believe it will still continue with the Fighting is Magic
The final version of MEGA would be this year but postponed to 2017 or 2018 as it is in the download tab on the official site

Honestly, yes, it paved the way for ‘Them’s Fightin’ Herds’, but that C&D on the original Fighting is Magic was just sucky.

I dunno if characters would have ever been balanced, but I’ve never been good at fighting games anyways :D
Whatever it is, it almost had me thinking a group of people decidedly worked on the Tribute Edition unabated.
it could still be the engine of a playable character re-skinned with Trixie, it’d demand much less animation work.
Then again, looking back on this gif, it seems too good to be true. Maybe someone just has mad animation skills.
