Humanizing this character does not make sense as her entire personality is built around a concept exclusive to those living in the MLP universe. If this is supposed to take place in a human world where there’s an equivalent of cutie marks that work in a similar way, nothing in this image establishes that. I will acknowledge that it is decently drawn, but it goes against her character.

Fawkes’ humanized griffons obviously fly using capes. The facial markings are new, though, they aren’t as prevalent on Gilda as they are on other griffons. Of course, the number of other griffons in official material total five-ish. <w<
