Actually, she looked a bit weirded out by them. :P
Quibble on the other hand…
Somepony actually has it in bed ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Pretty sure Japan will be OK with this.
it’s not the first time that brazil cut some scenes from mlp, so don’t expect this scene to appear here. but then again, not even the censors saw the malice on this (according to Big Jim that is)
Or more likely ban the whole episode. Though, it’s likely some won’t get the joke, or it won’t translate.
Japan will get the joke, I’m wondering how they’ll handle it.
C’mon, li’l girls liked stuff like “Ren & Stimpy” in the ’90s. Give them some credit.
@LadyTheRainicorn
Indeed. Some of it, I can kinda understand, but it can be annoying.
Oddly, in later episodes of “Rocko” they changed the name of the fast-food restaurant “Chokey Chicken” to “Chewy Chicken.” What’s odd about this is, they left the original name in tact in reruns of the older episodes, so the change was pointless.
Yeah it does ruin the creativity quite a bit
I hate censorship.
I remember seeing a character on Tiny Toons called Julie Bruin (a parody on her VA Julie Brown) whom was an anthropomorphic bear chick whom was… rather buxom, with actual “jiggle” animations. (To the point where her jiggling was more ridiculous/hilarious then fan-servicey)
Considering 4Kids edited out Rouge the bat’s cleavage, and reduced her “size,”(yes, fans were angry lol) you couldn’t get away with that now either. In fact, most animators stopped doing risqué things with animal cartoon characters after knowledge of the darker side of the “furry fanbase” surfaced. (Nothing against furry fans, mind you.)
Yeah, rewatching some Nick shows from the 90’s, wow. They would not be able to get away with that now.
I understand, I’m just saying they’ve gotten away with even more risqué things in other shows.
I also agree, plus the “intelligent/subtle” gags are something the kids can appreciate when they get older. Watching shows I loved as a kid, I often get surprised at the pop-culture & things kids wouldn’t get in ‘em. Even shows like Sonic and the old TMNT had some pretty clever gags too. Kid shows are better when they don’t talk down to their audience, or try to entertain the parents too.
I’m not saying it’s a bad thing, quite the opposite actually. I love how they can get away with these things.
@Background Pony #FF60
Seriously? Sorry but not even the most conservative soccer moms would be that oppressive…I think. I’m glad things like this are included in kids’ shows. It’s one of the things where if you know about it, then you get the reference. If not then it just goes over your head. Really, kids today are not as innocent and naive as society/government thinks they are/wishes they were.
@someguy111
Eh, I’ve seen worse. Especially, in ’90s cartoons. Just look at Rocko, Ren & Stimpy, Animaniacs, AoStH, and such. Those had less subtle intuendoes.

@Weasselk
Me neither, granted it’s a rather subtle gag. This is definitely going on TVTropes’ “Getting crap past the radar” page.
