I haven’t followed Silfoe’s headcanon stories on Celestia but regardless, I just can’t see Celestia being picky about size.
Consider - in Silfoe’s headcanon, Celestia ascended from a normal earth pony, and it took a long time for her to grow into the stature we’re used to her having. It’s not so hard to imagine her preference in lovers was formed when she was a young adult, and most stallions actually were larger than she was.
“Love is not fair one may fall for a bugbear” - i.e. one can think they love brunettes, but when they actually fall in love, it very well could be ginger or something.
(Huh, not I’m imagining Celestia x Bugbear, lol)
That being said, dragons and changelings live long lives and some might even be wise.
