Personally, I just don’t D.Va is less cheerful than Tracer. I mean, Tracer is even that fast, for crying out loud. And I can totally imagine Rainbow going around in a tank calling ‘I play to win!’ on the battle—

The thing is though, ABILITY wise, D.Va is a good match for pinkie, since the mech is a good step up from the party cannon, and its kind of way that pinkie would fight (A giant ridiculous giant robot is the kind of crazy awesome “fun” that pinkie would jump at).
 
 
Its like how Pharah is, Ability wise, a good match for Dash, but PERSONALITY wise, a TERRIBLE match for dash. (still prefer tracer dash to pharah dash since pharah is pretty slow too)

I’m sorry, this is a beautiful drawing and all, but I just don’t get that D.Va vibe from Pinkie (except the pink, of course.) Tracer, like Pinkie, has a hard time being serious (shown in her highlight, Serious Business), can pop out of nowhere, and are incredibly fast (nobody remembers PP can run as fast as Rainbow when she flies?). They also have that childlike image of innocence, you know? And British PP would be adorable.
 
This is, again, my opinion, and the picture works anyways. Obviously, the writer choose PP as D.Va for a reason, and I’ll respect that.

Is there going to be a comment complaining about the character choices for the picture on every overwatch pic? We get it people have preferences but not everybody needs to follow someone else’s preference. It’s TF2 wars in the comments all over again and we really don’t need more of that.
 
Seriously has anyone else seen those comment sections about people fighting over which character should be which for TF2 pictures? It’s insane, mainly it’s just fluttershy and twilight being either a sniper or a medic and they go on for days, oh my god who the hell cares.

They’re way too different. I like Ponk and D.va, but Tracer fits her better. Sad that this is becoming a thing slowly. Guess we’ll never see D.va Dash (D.she) permanently.
