To make people argue about it, of course!
If that were the case, why bother making an entire edit just to get rid of the tip of the tree? The image was perfectly fine as it was.
Just because most of them portray “that” doesn’t necessarily mean this one does…
I’d like to believe that, but I’ve seen some of the other versions of this scene…

Take another look at the other version I linked. The tree is bent, true, but where is the top of it?
