I didn’t understand this bit. Did you leave out a word by accident? I assume you mean the fight they had. Well as I said before they’re dragons. I’m almost certain fighting is something the young ones do in their spare time. Along with swimming in lava. Just look at Dragon Lord Torch. He’s basically everything a dragon is supposed to live up to. Ember isn’t exempt, remember. She “didn’t do friends.” until she met Spike she was just as ignorant.
 
This is a cartoon after all. So the intelligence of a character can fluctuate wildly depending on the circumstance and the whim of the writers. As it tends to…Spike has been really moronic in several episodes.

well he fails to identify the source of a pony sneeze from literally right under hime as well as failing to notice the difference between a real and fake rock. You can tell it wouldn’t have felt like a real rock cause it sank down when garble sat on it. Also he seems like a real jerk and aggressive ass hat even by dragon standards. In addition to that he and ember which I don’t think she appreciated and won’t be forgetting any time soon.

What’s Garble ever done that was particularly stupid? From what little we’ve seen of him.

Wow what’s wrong with you people. You do realize that nearly all dragons are jerks right? Which means the only non jerk dragon is Spike. So given all the other potential options Ember has for a mate, it MIGHT AS WELL be Garble.
 
Unless of course you ship her with Spike which I fine. I just don’t see why everyone thinks this is impossible. Garble’s attitude isn’t the minority among his kind. I mean seriously, come on you guys. They’re all like this. They’re mother effing dragons.

I could actually see this happening. I mean spike is only a kid far as the series goes, and ember and garble seem like the same age.

There’s literally nothing that indicates any kind of hate. It was a competition and dragons are the least friendly creatures. Their aggressiveness rivals the griffons.
