Understandable. I got back into yugioh like two years ago. While I the game has gotten meatier, more varied, and faster; for someone like me that’s a plus.
As for old cards it really just depends. Sure there are plenty of old cards that are very much outdated for being too weak or are too slow, many old cards find support in the form of new cards that mix the old and the new.
The current Dark Magician, Blue-eyes, and Red-eyes decks all use the original DM, BE, and RE respectively along with all the current support that makes it work in yu-gi-oh of today. Yu-gi-oh’s been on a kick of supporting old archetype along side all the new cards for new archetypes for a long while now. To name the most recent legacy support (which means support for older cards) magnet warriors got new cards, Alphabet Unions, and even Dark Magician Girl has her own family of cards now:
Perhaps you’re right. I haven’t played Yugioh for a very long time due to changes that doesn’t make any sense to me. To me, it makes the game even more difficult to play and making old cards not worth putting in deck anymore. But that’s just me.
What?
Poly is still very much used today what with decks like Lunalights, Frightfurs, and Melodious.
Ritual archtypes have been making a resurgence what with Prediction Princess and Cyber Angels; heck on of the top deck of one of the old metas was a ritual deck (Nekroz).
And Spell cards are more important now than previously. Pendulums did replace spell card by any stretch of the imagination.
And this is one of the reason why I stopped playing Yugioh. Destroying purposes for previous cards. First the polymerization, then the ritual, and now spell cards. Sigh..
yep, that’s it. I have one but I don’t really use my dragons much anymore. If I use anything it’s mostly my ghostricks
Huh, look at that.
Anyone who watches yugioh abridge will understand
I think he was questioning it because there’s a yugioh card called Lady of D.
Whoever brings the staff back becomes the Lord of Dragons.
She brought the staff back.
She is now the Lord of Dragons.
The old one never made any comment about gender or sex mattering whatsoever.
Seems pretty simple to me.
If the rule was ‘whoever brings the staff back is the Queen of Cheese’, I’d fully expect Garble to be talking about his plans for when he ‘becomes the Queen’
I thought it was for defense? She didn’t lead the league in steals last year while playing for New York Liberty?
