Nopony should ever be excluded, for a matter Rainbow is often one of the mane6 with most fans and AJ is not bad at all, she does nice “big sister” role which is important to the show, not saying Rarity is not as good as her as big sister but you get my point.
 
Mane 7 does sound a bit crowed but I happen to really like Starlight, so much it makes me not mind if she indeed end up living with Twilight at the castle and be part of the group, even though I have always wanted to see Trixie given such honour.
 
If we learned something by watching all the 5 seasons, is that every unicorn with “Magic” as cutie mark has some serious mental issues (crazy), Trixie, Twilight, Sunset and Starlight all sure shown this to be true so they really should have a good guidance and no guidance is better than a princess one, Starlight can become one of the best ponies learning from Twilight.
 
Just a final note, people say Starlight should be jailed for her “crimes”, but don’t we see the FBI often hires hackers they arrest for they are really too good on what they do? Starlight has a power 1% of unicorns have and the wise thing to do really is bring her to their side instead of jailing her and end up making her become even more evil and revengeful.

This would be better without Applejack or Rainbow Dash. :v
 
Seriously, I hope a great development to Starlight in this season, but she like Mane7 is very hasty. Maybe in S7.
