This is what Starlight would look like if she and Sunburst switched places.

“Alternate Gender Counterparts of Heroes” is my new project! Here, characters switch roles with their soul mates (mares with stallions and stallions with mares).

Starlight is the Alternate Gender Counterpart of Sunburst. She is Sunburst’s childhood friend, and royal sapphirer to (?AGC of Flurry Heart?).

They witness young Starlight and young Sunburst playing a book-stacking game, but young Sunburst’s move almost makes the books topple over him. Starlight saves him by using telekinesis to put all of the books back on the shelf. It is this moment that earns her cutie mark. After which, Sunburst loses touch with Starlight and, because she earned her cutie mark before him, he starts believing that cutie marks tear all friendships apart.
Starlight also was a student at School for Gifted Unicorns.

However, it is later revealed that, although Starlight is very knowledgeable about magic, she is untalented at casting it. She uses this knowledge of magic to help Sunburst and his friends restore the Sapphire Star and complete the newborn baby (?AGC of Flurry Heart?)’s Sapphiring ceremony.
