No, Seven souls would’ve done the same thing. He only took all the souls of the underground, because previous information said specifically “it would take the combined souls of every monster in the Underground to equal the power of a single human soul.”
 
That’s why it worked. Those souls were a substitution for a 7th human soul.
 
So, regardless, Flowey out and about beyond the barrier should effectively be a god, if he’s at least as capable as your average panel-van diddler… and after even ONE soul, he’d be pretty much unstoppable.

yeah but it’s not like there’s a shortage of human souls on the surface tho.

Adagio does have a point, Flowey is pretty reliant on the SOULS to be on the apocalyptic level of villains like Discord or Midnight Sparkle. He needed the 6 human SOULS to achieve his Photoshop form, and that plus all the other SOULS in the Underground in order to turn back into Asriel. All Flowey can do as a flower is SAVE, LOAD, and shoot “Friendliness Pellets”. He’s a bit like Chaos from Sonic Adventure; dangerous but too reliant on plot macguffins for any god-like power.

So, is Crona trying to bum a ride to the nearest black hole, or…?
