It’s not a likely thing to happen. They basically have the same core values as ponies, like they’d consider eating a pony to be murder the same way another pony would. They’re much more physical with shows of affection though, as they’re cold-blooded and share body heat. Basically it’s socially acceptable for perfect strangers in their country to snuggle, spoon, cuddle, and sleep together :D
Hey, Badumsquish? I have a question I’d like to ask you about the version of Equestria you created and a Fanfiction i have planned, but i don’t know if i can talk to you about it here. Do i have to sign up to send you a note or can a Background Pony such as myself just send you one?
@Badumsquish
Yeah, and between the shortest and tallest humans to have ever lived, there’s quite a bit of difference, with the tallest being over four times the height of the shortest.
@Background Pony #65D5 @Background Pony #588B
It varies fairly wildly. Not just by the type of lamia but by the individuals too. It’s like the height of humans except even more exaggerated since they’re so much longer :D
@Background Pony #65D5
I assume that, much like the snakes they’re based on, it varies drastically from one breed/species of Lamia to another, to the point that trying to average out all of their lengths would be about as useless an endeavor as averaging out the colors of a chameleon.
@Background Pony #65D5
I like the idea, but if I do it it won’t be in a bit. I’m busy trying to finish off some long-overdue ideas I’ve had on the back burner for a long time. For now, know that this guy is the longest. Twice as long as Kalianne:
And this gal is the shortest because she’s, even as an adult, proportionately only half the size of a pony (so like her head and torso are half the size of an adult pony’s) :D
Badum! You should make a new one of these comparing all your lamia ocs lengths! Only needs to be the original ones though, if you add the lamiafied regular pones it might be too much.
@Background Pony #588B
Mostly I find them easier to work with to make them bigger. The only time I don’t is for POVs; I make them a lot smaller so I can fit more of them into the image :D
@Turbotowns
I forget where I heard it and I dunno if it’s true, but I heard somewhere that the average MLP pony is canonically about 3’6”/106.6cm and Big Mac is 5’/152.4cm, up to the top of the head. Though Badum has said that he draws them a bit bigger than that.
But IRL, a horse’s height is measured at the withers (which is a little round flat spot at the base of the back of the horse’s neck), and an adult Clydesdale- the largest horse breed in the world, in case you didn’t know- is about six feet tall.
@Badumsquish
I’m nearly 6 feet myself, and I think I imagine the ponies about that height as well, well, actually, now that I think about it, I might have imagined them a bit smaller(they ARE ponies after all)… though thinking about it(and looking up pics of REAL ponies besides people), I think I’ll change to your size.
@Background Pony #0D4D
I’ve always drawn the ponies bigger in comparison to humans than most people do. My GMHAA character is six feet tall, and mares stand as tall as his chest, stallions as tall as his chin, Big Mac eye to eye, and Celestia towers over him :D
Their entire belly is basically the bottom of a person’s feet >:D

Kalianne’s a sweetheart. I’m pretty sure the thought of eating anyone wouldn’t even cross her mind.
Yeah, you could ask here or in a PM if you want :D
Well then, lemme just sign up, because I wanna talk with this awesome guy.
I think you need to have an account to send a direct message.

How long is average for them? Yours are a lot bigger than mine

I draw them much smaller in POV-type images, but that’s about it :D
That scale definitely makes interspecies relations easier.

Bah! Close enough. xD
Not quite. She measures 40 feet from the top of her head to the tip of her tail :D
