Well that I can agree with. I frequent DA myself and I’m an FA (Fat Admirer). As such I’ve seen fat fetish and fart fetish art get intertwined plenty of times, probably related to characters overeating and then becoming gassy. And yes I’ve seen plenty of characters who specialize in drawing both fetishes avoid being trolled by simply ignoring the hecklers.
 
BUUUUT that still doesn’t excuse James from hating on his fans, drunk or not. I’m sorry but I won’t let that go.

Here is the mistake he really made. He kept letting the trolls get to him. In my opinion, the more openly perverted the DA account; the more composed that individual has to be. Trolls are like sharks, they home in on drama.
 
You can be an open Eproctophile on DA; provided you never ever respond to trolling, cause drama, or post over-the-top journals. DA is simply unforgiving when it comes to those things.

That doesn’t give him an excuse to take it out on his fans. It sucks that he’s being trolled for having an unusual kink but the fact is not everyone is going to accept someone for that. He knew the risks from the get go, before he admitted to having the fetish he posed under another account called AndySonic where he posted fart fetish drawings under that identity. But because his art style is very recognizable, anonymous quickly put two and two together. Maybe if he had better drawing skills he might have been able to differentiate between his fetish drawings and his Pony cartoons but as it stands he already knew that uploading fart fetish art was a big risk.
 
And again this doesn’t give him an excuse to be an asshole to his fans. I don’t care how depressed you are, you just don’t do that.

He is also being trolled non-stop on his own DA page, for months on end. He’s been bombarded with hostility ever since he admitted he was into farts.
 
The trolling is still going on. That doesn’t exactly help an artist already suffering from depression.

I was mainly talking about his art style (the way he draws characters, again not his fetish) but seeing this made me dislike him even more. James hates his fans, the very people who watch his stuff? The people who share his fetish and some of which may be able to relate to what he’s going through? What an asshole. And I know he later apologized and claimed he was drunk when he wrote that journal, but I’m going to call bullshit. He couldn’t have been very drunk or his writing here would have been very sloppy and either way people who become drunk are often an open book for their true feelings. This isn’t the ramblings of a drunk, this is the writing of an egotistical young adult who thinks his fans are beneath him. He spilled his guts as to how he really feels about himself and his fans. If you ask me he owes his fans more than just an apology and a lame ass excuse.
 
And for the record I too have Social Anxiety Disorder, as well as PTSD, but I don’t use either as an excuse to treat people like garbage.
