Description

Theres been a bit of confusion and debate about the ‘‘are they Spitefire and Soarin’’ in the finale. well this should set things strait unless proven otherwise….

Big Jim even said that in the making of the finale was harder due to the fact that they had to make new models for all the different alternate timelines. therefore its easy for a ‘‘wrong eye color’’ animation error to show up on them, especially since they are only seen for just a few seconds. so unless DHX or Hasbro says otherwise its Spitefire and Soarin.

So I googled a list of Wonderbolts. “Spitfire” is Blaze here. The same Blaze that appeared alongside Soarin’ in the very first time the Wonderbolts were introduced in the show.

The other one is still a mystery. The only 2 other Wonderbolts that match “Soarin” are High Winds and Wave Chill.

High Winds often got confused by Soarin’ when the Wonderbolts attacked Godzilla Spike in the 2nd season, but she has puffy hair.

Wave Chill is closer to Soarin’ but the color scheme is much darker.

There are no other Wonderbolts that could resemble Soarin’ here. The only thing wrong is the eye color, that’s it. Maybe these Wonderbolts never assembled the same way as the originals did. Maybe they aren’t even Wonderbolts but some random soldiers.

@SoarinFangirl
It’s fine to speculate that it could be Soarin’, but there is nothing to this submission that is concrete and actually confirms it is him. Unless those responsible for the animating wanted it to be so AND THEY ACTUALLY HAVE SAID IT from a reliable source, I will not accept it is him and nobody else should either.

But then again I find some people are just nutjobs who have to keep to something if it makes them happy, rather than look at things analytically if it means their bubble is busted, so what can we do?

I paused at that part while watching the episode and I noticed the eye colors were off too. I figured that since the animators had so much to animate that this 1 second frame wasn’t very inportant so it was just an error.

The stallion is definitely Soarin. Note the bags under his eyes; he’s one of the very few ponies who have them. (RD has them here as well, but I’m guessing that’s because she’s been through enough to earn them.)

Eehh why not,unless you think it’s more dramatic that Rainbow Dashe’s idols are killed in the war before her to fuel her tragic warlust,theirs no reason not to accept this.
