Some authors argue that Sunset might have become an Alicorn at the end of either Rainbow Rocks or Friendship Games.

No..Alicorn Starlight just seems like a bad idea all around.Maybe Sunset is a better candidate, but I don’t really see her wantinh to leave her ordinary relaxing human life to suddenly become extremely important royalty…

Starlight doesn’t deserve to be an alicorn.

What if this happened in G5 or something.

Needs Sunset and Trixie to complete the representation of the cycle. Twilight and Starlight seem to represent the Dusk and Dawn, whereas Sunset and Trixie seem to represent the actual day and night.

Just checked, it IS implied with Starlicorn tag, so I removed the tag as this is reformed!Starlight.

I’m fairly sure it automatically adds with starlicorn, because before the episode, her ascension generally implied stealing it from someone else having evil intentions for said power.

…Sunset was a terrorist too, you know. She converted a bunch of high schoolers into a powered up demon army, not unlike what Sombra did in Alternate Timeline 1, and she also nearly killed Twilight! Sunset was also an egomaniac queen bitch who had zero redeeming quality whatsoever–not even a backstory! (that was revealed later in the comics)
 
Bro, Sunset was ‘easily forgiven’ in the first EqG. But from then, she’s got novels, comics and movies where you see her struggle with her reformation, where she’s the hero so suddenly she’s okay?
 
I get it if you prefer Sunset to Starlight–I do, too! I love Sunset because I’ve seen more of her, I’ve seen her do good! Whereas Starlight…needs work
 
But I seriously disagree with you about comparing Starlight to Hitler and telling us to treat her like a terrorist, while completely forgetting about Sunset in the first movie.  
Death penalty? Sunset deserved it too, then. Because not only she stole a royal jewelry, she also plotted against Equestria.

AFAIK this seems to be a post-redemption Starlight.

I always love me some Twilight,student,alicorness…futureness…yup.

Not Starlight, Just NO! Sunset yes but Starlight no, she deserves the death penalty after what she done not alicorn hood, if this happened in the show I would rage quit…. Right there!
