Strangely enough…. Luna and Nightmare in this picture almost look NOTHING alike…. I almost think that if this was Nightmare Moon in a fantasy setting then it’s possible Luna made it as an Avatar. A way for her crimes to be overlooked… because deep down even BEFORE Discord she never really cared for Celestia… she secretly feared her and as Nightmare Moon she could act on it… the moment she saw it was going to lose to the Mane 6 however is when she decided to say it was a ‘dark spirit’ for her scapegoat.

So… Nightmare Moon apparently is, in this case, not so much human shaped as human~~bound, and her mane manifests as nearly every primordial fear humanity has; snakes, predators, spiders, and pretty much anything with sharp teeth and pointy bits. She looks a lot like Artorias from Dark Souls ~~ like there’s nothing but magic in that armor, and it only happens to be humanoid because that’s what’s keeping it trapped in there.

Methinks that blasting this version of NMM apart with the Elements would have been a much scarier event. Awesome.
