[OOC: I can imagine them having metal/snare wire for things like taller plants, or could be perhaps used to mark things. Is this reasonable?]

This roll of snare wire is cut into lengths. The earth pony sets up quite a few of these little snare traps, and then simply goes and sits on his haunches, watching to see what the little rodent does.
 
[OOC: The traps are like these, with the dead squirrel being an example(to the image-viewer) how the trap works.]

He attempts to hit it with a thrown rock hard enough to kill it.

OOC: Thinking about that, the length and flexibility of its front legs probably helped it more than the sharpness of its claws. Many animals could cut a rope, but few can reach far above their head like that.
 
Vosendy: It’s a mentality of simple societies who knew how to do a lot with a little. You could partake in a Tozan primal hunt with that, or explore new worlds less advanced.

[OOC: Rope is one thing, but metal wire is a bit different. Metal is quite resistant to being sliced, which is why chainmail made for a good armor against opponents using swords that focused on cutting.]
 
“I mean I’d be game for the excitement of exploring places, but I think y’all need the farming.” The buck is not exceptionally muscular-looking, in fact he looks somewhat scrawny, though his strength is more in-tune with what one might deem ‘Earth Pony magic’.

OOC: Sorry but I got a bit of a blank page. I’d like your char to be dragged into delivering stuff to that cargo that will go to the planet I wanted to send him first but don’t see a good way to send him on that track quickly from there.
