“You can rumble with me, but those are empty threats for our emperor,” she rumbles to him, raising her sword. To Valor, she speaks softer, intent on him being the only one to receive the message, “you do have a special guard for personal protection, don’t you?”

Valor: “our budget is a bit tight, what protects me is my magic, remember? so long as i don’t cast a spell even his smasher cestus won’t harm me.”

“That’s wonderful- at least, for you,” she grumbles. She makes a swift cut for the centurion, using her blade with ‘magic sharpness’.

he blocks, that means two things, one the cestus can nullify magic on touch, and two, he NEEDED to block that. he was vulnerable to it.

She then takes one step back and goes for another swing, using both hands on her sword to get leverage for a faster, more powerful, more controlled swing. She doesn’t plan on backing down anytime soon. This swing is a crosscut aimed for his upper arm, shoulder, neck, anywhere that it’ll hit, really.

surprisingly it connects, the added sharpness separating one of the cestus from the centurion, alongside the rest of his arm.

She follows-through as per standard, and recovers quickly into the Posta Breve middle guard, her legs having already been in position due to the previous step backwards. She huffs once within her helmet.

with a roar he leapt up, intending to bring the remaining cestus down on her skull.

She utters something short but probably vulgar as she acts, deciding to let his own power be the cause for his next arm amputation, the mare raising her sword with the sharp edge pointed up, canted slightly towards him. She allows her knees and elbows to bend some, in order that she could take some of the left-over energy from his (hopefully)attempted strike.
