the monster that had burst from the ground was indeed massive, standing as tall as an oil rig of the old world would but it was covered in holes, holes from which eggs rained and opened up to admit out more swarmers.
 
“Goliath class confirmed to be “patriarch.” a walking biolab and cloning facility, it mass produces swarmers and acid, the latter of which it can eject far enough up to hit planes out of the sky!”

“analysis is running… okay, the carapace itself is pretty thick and seems to have no issue with high or low temperatures, so our cryoblast tactic isn’t gonna work, however it’s obviously full of holes and you can probably cause a blockage if you fire in there, that should get a number of swarmers off your back as well… as for a permanent solution… aha, seems it needs to pressurize the acid under its’ throat before firing, meaning just before a stream of highly corrosive death comes at you there will be a tightly inflated balloon ready for popping… that will either kill it or rob it of its weapon, both will work, as heavy duty weaponry is deploying soon.”

seems you she had tossed about a few unfinished bugs and caused them to try hatching prematurely, the resulting pileup at the opening clogging it completely.

The steady RATATATATATA- of her weapon could be heard in the background of her radio while she merely replies “ten-four”. She focuses fire upon any birthing openings.

another set of egg sacs splits prematurely, the not ready to come out yet ants clogging another opening, making the Patriarch roar out and look directly at her, acid sacs inflating near its head.

(So its like Bad company then heh. I will have one or two characters made soon)

midway through its roar a fully charge thermobaric round flew down its gullet

sure enough this causes an immense reaction, namely the head exploding and the popping acid sacs spraying their payload all around.

Ginger ducks her head and covers it with an arm- if she’s going to get burned, she’d rather it not be on the noggin. She kind of needs that part of her body.
