Lightning Dust is a sociopath lacking in the megalomania aspect, which does make her better than Cozy Glow, since that means you can reason with her to an extent.

Well who better than Rarity to investigate a murder at a big Manehattan fashion event? But since Suri is such an obvious suspect… perhaps she could be the victim instead? Then Coco could be the suspect, and Rarity investigates to try and exonorate her….

Oh hell yeah, some people just won’t change and it’s important to acknowledge that. I just wish Dash’s many foils got time with non-Dash characters, especially poor Daring Do.

Zest was just doing their job, it’s not her fault everyone chose to listen to her exclusively. Svengallop I have less sympathy for, but even if the guy was a jerk, he did seem to have Coloratura’s best interests in heart.

Tbh, she was acting like a snobby and stuck up bitch who thought that only her opinion mattered and treated it as a fact and the fact that people took her word for it only fueled her ego.

Zesty was just a strawman character who was made just to be shot down in the end.
 
I still don’t really like the episode all that much because of that and the double standard it holds.

Really, what gets me is the obvious way her survival could have been confirmed - an outro shot of her in a full-body wing-and-hoof cast, drinking through a straw. I mean, the joke seems so incomplete without it I have to wonder if it was cut.

They should revamp the personalities of the Gen 5 main cast if they keep the same ponies  
It’s been 10 years, surely everything that could have been done was done with the current personalities

I’m pretty sure there are still untapped potential - but it’s common sense that a reboot should bring new leads. There aren’t just six ways to be a girl, after all.

Yeah, they could reboot them in a situation so different from gen 4 that it could be refreshing, but it’s just safer to create new personalities
 
Also fucking fix the sparity age gap if they are going to do it again or anything similar

I don’t know why they should all be girls. Seriously, why are all the ponies mares? The magic of friendship applies to both genders, and I’ve met many guys that could stand to be told that.
