The CMC have had a total of two lines across all two-parters IIRC, and that’s unlikely to change.

Eyup. Apple Bloom in the pilot and Sweetie Belle in Princess Twilight, which is the only time she’s had a line and AB didn’t, I don’t see that changing, ever.

Yeah, I’m weird, but I’ll point out last time Babs got a direct reference outside the UK Magazine or Friends Forever was Bloom & Gloom. She’s one of two ponies to not appear proper after episode 100, the other being Suri Polomare.

Forgot about those lines, I thought there only real speaking role in a two-parter was in the very beginning of Return of Harmony when they set Discord free and set up that Sweetie Belle was a dictionary.

I forgot about that. Then again, I haven’t properly seen the first 108 episodes…

I didn’t watch the Mane Thing bit since it’s airing next week anyway. Thought the song was good, they’ve all been good except maybe the All Bottled Up one. Last one of the season too.

Who else is willing to bet none of the mane six will appear in Marks and Recreation? That’ll be the third episode this season…

There isn’t a reason to stuff them into an episode for no reason, unless you want them to end up like Twi did back in season 1.

Then again, I guess it just goes to show that the CMC are becoming more and more independent, and that’s a good thing.

The show is expanding to have other ponies beside just the mane six getting some spotlight, I for one am happy to see this.

Yeah but in a season where the Mane 6 are constantly isolated and separate from one another with massive episode gaps inbetween their appearance isn’t something people who are fans of those characters really want.

Yeah, this supports my theory that they want to make everything before CotLM Early Instalment Weirdness…

It was “Buckball Season” that almost made me leave the fandom completely. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it, in fact it was good. But it just made it clear how bored I was with the show’s formula and status quo. Snails was the best thing in it.
 
Season 7 has been so great for me mostly because they’ve been willing to do unexpected things and shake stuff up a little.
