The check I did was for verified, images on the site and images aren’t just exploitable memes or the like. Given the DNP I figured you weren’t going to be using the site anymore and just wanted the verification for future reports.

That would explain why some artist’s work has disappeared, yet they aren’t on the DNP list…leading to a lot of head-scratching from me and others to the question of “Whatever happened to «insert artist here», they aren’t on the DNP list?”

It’s not very often someone requests the takedown of ~150 of their images but doesn’t want to be DNP, afaik… Anyway, off topic.

Seems that I’m qualified for the Fine Arts badge; when I put my username under the “uploader:and brother I hurt people, -reaction image, -image macro, -vibrating, -screencap, -exploitable meme, upvotes.gte:100, (safe OR suggestive), (artist:* OR artist needed)” formula, I have 211 images that fall under this category. Should I ask a mod about this, or is my post here good enough?

Hey, has the stickied badge list been updated in a while? Seems like there’s more badges that need to be added. Like the duck badge, or the one for website patrons.

I think if we told people how to “earn” a duck badge there’ll be a few that’ll strive for it. We saw that happen before with other features that highlight “negative users”.
 
As for donor things, I’m not sure I want to advertise them as a prize for donating. It’s more of a cute thank you for it rather than a TF2 hats thing.

I was really just giving those for examples, though you have excellent points. I could be mistaken as I don’t really pay attention to the badges, but are there other badges out there that aren’t for negative users or donors?

Heartily seconding this. How many of the Ducks around here wouldn’t drop a tenbux to get a snappy li’l fedora to go with their Foul Fowl? It would be a free tiny little revenue stream that’s even fairly slightly likely to maybe not be more hassle than it’s worth.

Caching, mostly. Badges are on the lower end of the priority spectrum, so their status can be cached up to an hour. Forum posts, unless edited, are cached for far longer, thus avatar changes, badges and thread/post counts are often out of date / not in synch.

Donation badge testing completed, poor Clover received some more spam. Merry Christmas ;)
