Seems like religion really gets you steamed huh. Well its good thing you came here instead of lashing out at friends and family. I’m a Catholic, but I have a’lot of my own perspectives on my faith and the universe. Not all religious people are the same. I also don’t believe you need to be part of X religion order to be saved. You just don’t be a dick to people, and recgegise when you might have done something wrong and try to make up for it.
My faith has gotten me out of some major jams in my life. I don’t see it as a weakness but a source for witch I can derive streaghth. However, I realise some people can go through life just find without it.
Yes, some religious people can be dicks, because human beings are dicks by nature. You don’t even need to read the Bible to figure that one out. I hope one day society will take a massive chill about all this stuff. Some things are not worth getting mad at.
Like, I like the Star Wars preaquels, but good luck convicing all the vocal Star Wars fans that there good. I’m trying to just get to a point where I try not to oppeses and just calmly expian my view. In the end thats what true relgion is. A view. Even if you don’t thinks its siencfically possible, the universe is so complex that arguments can still be made to support it, but not prove it indefinately.
I’m sure your fed up with people telling you how to feel and think, so just take my advice. Just learn to except the belifs of others, but stan your ground when there belifs get in the way of your own. If there not bothering you, just leave them be and vice vera. It’s the only way we will ever find peace in this world. Like you said, we are stumbern and we don’t want to let go.

You may need some help you are starting an monologue argument over something that no one is going to argue here. Maybe you should find an atheist board or something to get greater attention.
if you really want to bitch at religion, look at all that was spent in a catholic church, hundreds of thousands spend on lifelike woodcarvings of historical figures rather than the people who came for help. This is very modest by comparison.

Lol, same here though I did gloss over it and quite frankly I think in that case they are purposely playing the fool for laughs/shits and giggles for the following reasons:
A. Was set up by a prior post.
B. What portion of people past the age of twelve have not already heard that somehow near word deemeaning and self appointed argument that drips of the same undertones of arrogance they accuse and fault the other side for to the point it’s almost like a Steven King character cut out.
And
C. Being upset it is not part with the cannon of the show, and just how much of this entire site is in line with the known cannon world

Look at all the money that went into these decorations instead of been used on medications, food and other things that could have made this world a better place with less delusions, crime and unfairness.
Yeah, hope that an invisible man in the sky will repay all your deeds AFTER you are dead… and no matter what happens, be content and don’t do anything to change how unfair and one-sided this world is for people with money and power. Because it is totally OK. As it was okay during the middle ages when tyrant kings executed people justifying it that they are godsend or whatever (all the while supported by the same churches just because they were paid for it). Seriously, why can’t everyone just realize that this so called “religion” is basically just a stupid pre-historical fanfiction? XD
And I’m talking about every religion there is, not just this particular one.
Religion is for weak people who prefer being delusional slaves instead of realizing the harsh truth of our reality: there can be something without a reason or cause for it to be.
Like there is no higher reason for this inequality in life, it is not a test how they say.
It is very likely that the Universe didn’t have its origin and always existed without any reason or force to create it in the first place.
We are most likely not the only form of life in the Universe and the Universe certainly doesn’t spin around our “Godly” species which most likely originated by sheer luck during the natural evolution.
And it is almost 100% true that life doesn’t really have any higher meaning. There is no divine purpose, there is no test, there is no afterlife, there is nothing. You are just another animal like any other living creature or microorganism on this or any other planet in the Universe. You live, you progress, you multiply, you die. The end. Is realizing this that hard for most of the folks?
No, we must say that we are special… cos “how can I die? No I can’t… It’s impossible… I don’t know what comes next. And I’m scared of anything I don’t know (like an animal is scared of fire), so there must be something after I die, right?” And it doesn’t matter that NO ONE can even tell what it is, the hope that there is something is enough for most of the people. After all, hope is truly one of the most powerful forces.
Now that I think of it, how can people still believe a single word this book or religion says after so much of its contents were proven to be wrong by the science? At least it’s good that these narrow-minded delusional people stopped executing anyone who said that they are wrong… But I can’t help but wonder how much more time will pass until every last sentence of that religion is disproved and people will finally see the truth?
Eh… it probably will never happen since people are stubborn and stupid that way. And the people who benefit from this won’t want it to stop. After all, many turn to religion just to believe that they won’t actually die… And it is an eternal problem (that is until science manages to finally prove something related to afterlife) Until then, whatever floats your boat, I guess. But WTF is this picture? Do you seriously think that it is OK to mix ponies and Earth religions? Really?
