The fact that people have a Pavlovian impulse to go and get “good deals” or aquire material goods that override any concept of family or community. Go ahead and google how many have died on black Friday.

The people that are out there right now. Actually the movie theater is probably one the safer place. It’s only very hectic the first few hours of the sale events
I actually wanted to go see a movie today, but knowing how violent it gets on Black Friday, I’m waiting until tomorrow. At least I have food left over from yesterdays’ Thanksgiving/Black Thursday.
Seriously, what makes the companies believe that people want to spend money on a TV instead of staying home with loved ones?
A wise and laudable decision. I heard a quote recently that said “You aren’t saving 500 bucks on a big screen TV. You’re just spending 700 bucks on something you didn’t need instead of 1300.
Of course, that just speaks of the material and financial aspect of this whole deal. There’s also the materialistic and disgusting lust and greed towards material gain that this holiday stokes without end. It is asking you to forsake your humanity for deals and it’s pretty gross.
That and “Treat your fellow human beings as obstacles that you must pass through, via any means necessary, in order to obtain material goods” day.
