Welcome to my Animar, Soul of the Elements deck my friends (Odd, because usually with Fan I find things I want to put in my Aurelia the Warleader deck). This is pretty much Karametrea’s Favor + Umbral Mantle + Training Grounds + Spireside Infiltrator et al

Yeah, but “Copy target instant or sorcery spell” is slightly more powerful than “Attacking creatures get +1/+0 until end of turn”.

I feel I should note that something similar is possible in actual Magic using Duergar Mine-Captain. He’s even Santa colors, for maximum Christmas cheer!
No actually; Training Grounds explicitly say that it “can’t reduce the amount of mana an ability costs to activate to less than one mana.”, so no getting it below 1 mana.Forgot that the ability will go from 1U to U and that the mantle will produce U to effectively make it cost 0. Yeah, that’ll work amazingly. So I suppose the ideal play would be T1 Breeding Grounds, mana dork, Paradise Mantle, T2 Steam Vents Thousand-Year Elixir, T3 basic land, this guy, equip the Mantle, Bolt, but that’s probably Magical Christmas Land talking.Edited
