Yeah it’s crazy … i’m nerdy as shit though and fit right in with most NUCs but the reason i’m not is a little while back i let that asshat at the MEPS station talk me out of it when i didn’t know all the information about it. Either way i’m happy cause i’m a tech geek so i has a great job for me and still get all sorts of bonus pay for submarine duty

Yeah navy. I like NUCs all of them are uber nerdy as shit and i remember getting a couple together and it’s just one big nerd fest, so great … i almost went NUC (What i’m assuming your buddy is) they get payed out the ass. their re-enlistment bonus just for saying they’ll do another 4 years is anywhere from 100 to 120 thousand … and that’s just a fucking bonus!

Same thing could apply to around 50% of Americans and around 40% of Brits IIRC…
