Sunny’s a fencer? I wish she preferred classic historical European swordsmanship (the stuff they study at HACA) but even this is great, and nothing I ever dared to think I’d see here! I like this. Makes me wonder if she tried studying swordsmareship back in Equestria before she left.

It’s OK, I didn’t get it until a day after I saw the short.

Now I want to see Sunset in a parody of Madonna’s 2002 hit Die Another Day.  

I just noticed that everyone’s fencing left-handed: this fencing club knows what it’s doing! Most people are right-handed, and used to fighting right-handed opponents; so fighting left-handed gives you an enormous edge, if you can get any point control with your left hand at all. (And most people can, I’d expect – at least if they practice.) Everyone hates fencing against lefties – even other lefties, who find themselves losing their usual advantage and having to fight symmetrically.
 
The Princess Bride is a famous fencing movie, but it got this area completely wrong; I’d expect two fighters of Wesley’s and Inigo’s skill to switch from their right hands to their left as the situation got worse for them.

Sunset looks amazing in fencing gear.
