Funny how Ember didn’t have a symbol. Kinda foreshadowing the cutie-marks-as-puberty thing FIM has.

But we never did get a good explanation for it in the special. Only one without one, and nothing said. Of course, Knight Shade seemed be from a whole town of inexplicable blank flanks.
