Being Dark doesn’t necessarily mean she has to abuse everyone around.
Besides, this is redundant as Luna’s motivations would be to get ponies to LIKE her, seeing as it was what she strove for before and lack of which caused her previous… well, problems.

Yes, she has. That why I love it.
I like that he portrays Luna as a Dark Princess rather than Celestia Mk II, and isn’t afraid to give her a unique and complex personality. Watching her abuse her power and station (in non-malicious ways, granted), is super fun.

He clearly likes Luna but loves to make her look bad…

I don’t believe the show has downgraded her. In fact for me she has a better characterization in the Nightmarity arc and the Luna & Pinkie FF. I mean in the former she got her redemption and forgiveness, and the latter worked as a kinda sequel to Luna Eclipsed and actually made her more relatable with the lesson she learns.

He took the way she was in Nightmare Night and improved on it massively. The show is the one that has gone in the wrong direction with her.
Are you kidding? At least his Luna is interesting. She’s boring as shit in the show.
Some of his stuff is really funny (like that Reversalis & Chrysalis drawing), but some is just him trying to hard and failing… And then there’s Andy’s narcissist, selfish, only-fun minded Luna.
If anything I can say she’s the worst derailment of a character he has made. Even in comparison with Reflections-lestia, Price’s Luna is more selfish, annoying and despicable than anyone else.
True. What surprises ME, though, is that I was able to recognize some of the Fringe references in the Reflections arc (and elsewhere in the comics) despite never having seen Fringe myself. …Though maybe that’s just because Andy himself specifically pointed out some of the Fringe references at some point.
But a massive knowledge of references is required.
I think a lot of the stuff he draws is funny.
