I know right?
100%
It really does. It deserves to get featured.
Digital animation is a tool that can work wonderfully if employed correctly. Just look at Rick & Morty, for example.
People knocking digital animation just because some people don’t know how to use it are missing the point.
After reading your comment, I think I’ve developed a new-found hatred for flash animation (And digital animation is general) now.
Not really. A good chunk of the consequence of the characters’ designs was the fact that they were being animated in flash. That’s why they all generally have the same base body shape and whatnot.
Artistic expressions do not always have to make sense, you know. It may be a traced gif, but the way the artist portrays it gives off an old-timey retro feeling that a lot of people evidently like.
Very Impressive.
Even traced, its still an impressive amount of time and effort to do so by hand with physical media then construct it into working animation.
Most people probably don’t realize it was traced. I know I didn’t when I first saw it.
To my knowledge, this artist isn’t SELLING THEIR TRACES FOR PROFIT.
