When I had mine removed, I got a codeine prescription… specifically, a small amount of codeine combined with some more common painkiller like Tylenol in one pill.
 
Which didn’t do shit. Took the recommended dose after the drugs from surgery wore off, was holding back tears in a couple hours.
 
Instead of trying any more of that crap, I took a dose of nearly expired over the counter generic ibuprofen and bam, pain gone. Your results may vary, but keep it in mind if they give you watered-down drugs that don’t seem to be working if any of you get your wisdom teeth done in the future

I had all 4 teeth out in one go and was eating steak that night.  
The dentist did manage to sew my cheek into the hole in my jaw however.

Mine was like that, for the most part. Pretty darn simple. Just the usual numbing injection. The top two came out easily. The bottom two were a little more difficult because the roots were bent, so I was a little more sore afterwards, but that was it.

I remember getting my wisdom teeth out.
 
Oh god, the drugs I had…I’d do it again, soreness, bleeding, and all.

Really? Mine took awhile to stop bleeding. It was gross tasting.

Eh, I only had gauze-stuffing for about 5 hours after the op, then I was fine.

You’re not the only one, mine went well. Though, I only had one removed at first, and had the other 3 removed later. Only thing that annoyed me was having to stuff gauze in my mouth a lot.

I had wisdom teeth removal myself before, the recovery wasn’t that bad. (Didn’t even have to use the pain pills they gave me afterwords.) I did get a li’l loopy from the laughing gas they gave me though. lol

Am I the only one who had a not-terrible wisdom teeth removal?
 
Seriously, I was in and out of the dentist’s office in about an hour and a half, and my gums didn’t hurt very much, they were just sore for ~24h afterward. And yes, I had all of them removed in one go.
