When my sister was looking to buy her first car, she signed up on Carfax.com with their “unlimited look-ups” plan, but her account got banned after only six cars. When she sent an e-mail complaining about it, she got an apologetic reply within just a couple of hours - seems the only accounts that bought that plan and then used it more than three times at the absolute maximum were those that had been shared illegally with multiple users.
