This is assuming she had the proper paperwork to identify herself as a diplomatic dignitary. The smart thing would have been to just deny her entry, but paranoia about spies and extremists can lead to excessive means.
Exactly right. Twilight clearly identified herself as a government official. When acting within the scope of her duties she has absolute immunity.
If the “brownshirt” guard had not yet received word that two members of royalty were on their way to his post, the smart thing to do would be to prevent their entry until such time as their story could be corroborated. Twilight ought to have transmuted him into an orange for his effrontery.
Well they can just execute the guard who ordered it.
