i don’t mind the whole non-twilight thing, because sundown replaced her with sunset. so it balances out in a way. it’s like the humanverse is getting it’s own fair share of fan stories, compared to the ponyverse which artists have millions of. and with sunset as leader no less which makes it a little interesting. it’s just that we see less of it, compared to just random works of art. being a doodler isn’t a bad thing. but when artist puts creates a wonderful world and then it’s put on hold for doodles (sadly like zoa renso who creates some stories but doesn’t finish em), it gets kind of, idk. disappointing. it’s almost like an artist is saying, “i’ve given up on this idea”. but like most universes by artists, i’ll wait till they continue and just kill time looking at what’s posted.

i really like the “suniverse” and ill continue drawing about it from time to time but, the thing is, it takes a lot of time to fully commit to further develope a consistent story and i want to draw other things too(mostly horrible anatomy nsfw things hah) so, aside from the ocasional group shot minus twilight ill stick to me being a “doodler” sorry to have dissappointed you or whatever

And yeah your keyword “doodle” kinda fits here. In fact, the very word i think fits sundown best is, doodler. While i did disagree bigtime on lack of twilight, he does make up for it bigtime with sunset. And creating his own universe with characters, main and side, equipped with amazing abilities. He could’ve expanded greatly off of that, and i was really looking forward to seeing what it would become. But recently its just been nothing but doodles that, sadly, dont mean anything. At this point, it just seems like when he posts, its a guy saying “hey everyone! Look at what i drew” and the response would just be, “thats interesting. Oh well back to business”. It just doesnt hold anymore

I feel like their more profound works, the stuff with backgrounds and multiple characters (rather than just, like, a dick and a pony’s face) sorta brings down the quality of stuff like this, which almost qualifies as a “doodle” in comparison.
 
For a time, Sundown basically had the “Sundownverse” with MLP characters that were humanized and wielded powers, worked as mercenaries, etc. But what it ends up meaning, in the long run, is that if the artist has no intention of maintaining such quality in their works, then their original “standard” will just come across as flat and drab as a result.
 
For a time, I expected Sundown to leave the fandom after establishing their own style with MLP characters as a base, then building on that by using their own original content. Amazingly, they didn’t commit to a transition. I guess now they just stick with “whatever [they] feel like.”

Yeah, his main weakness is the complete disregard for reasonable spinal/midsection structure for AJ.
 
And I feel it’s becoming more and more noticeable and worse with each standalone pic. Look at his older art, there was an hourglass, sure, but it’s become waaaay more exagerrated in his current art.

To be quite fair, Applejack is probably his weakest design and he’s been drawing a whole lot of her. Human Celestia, Fluttershy, Rarity, and Sunset are his strongest designs and they don’t get their proper due.
 
Oh, and his God-tier bimbo Twilight. But she’s the CM Punk of Sundown Land. XD
