And then she decided life was pointless, spat in the face of her friends trying to help her, and then abandoned her friends entirely, moving to another country without telling them.
 
Nobody choses to be depressed.  
And it is not the first time Pinkie is overreacting.
 
I guess the moral is supposed to be, “Don’t make your friend miserable just to make yourself happy”, but Pinkie was doing the exact same thing, and is allowed to keep doing so at the end. So I guess the moral is…..I don’t even know.
 
How about continuing to play her beloved yovidaphone in a place where she doesn´t disturb everypony (outside of Ponyville, a soundproof room, a bubble of silence)?

All of this because…..*gasp”, she wasn’t allowed to do ONE THING. That she’d suddenly decided was more important than life itself.

I thought Super Speedy Cider Squeezy Pinkie was bad, but this this episode’s Pinkie takes selfishness and stupidity to a whole new level.
Seriously. Never actually hated a beloved character quite this much.
 
I don´t see how she was selfish.  
When her friends told her that she was bad she stopped playing immediately.
