right into the uncanny valley

I like that they experiment so much with their models anatomy. But it’s been several times now that we’ve come across this deep uncanny face, flatter, broader snout and smaller eyes. In my opinion, where there’s a great lack of experimentation/innovation in furry 3d art is most definitely the legs and overall body proportions. Almost no one is doing ungulate feet and nobody is ever deviating from the average-sized anime character proportions. Compared to 2d, and the 3d scenes in other fandoms, 3d mlp art is pretty stagnant, and it’s been for years.

I disagree, it’s the shape of the nose/snout I have a problem with. The artist has done other perfectly fine pony heads; I don’t see why this one is off the standard model.

Like, instead of a pony head pasted on, or half and half anthro, it’s like 3/4 human, 1/4 pony and it’s super uncanny valley.

That face looks extremely off.  
It’s a bit unsettling to look at.
