I found the comics OK, though the newer stuff like Starlight and the Student Six are great.
Nah its my subjective opinion and observation + that serial never was best thing from all that, mostly fanmade stuff was way better quality than serial itself or comics (Andy, Katie just glorious stuff)
Seeing as how overlap happens when you go one for a few seasons, and the quality has improved overall for the series, I think you may have been misinformed.
Mostly because of big quality drop in episodes and using old tropes of episodes.
-Kirins take vow of silence via tampered water that erases their emotions and their ability to speak
-One such Kirin uses her rage form to form a ring of fire in order to keep them from being submerged in said water
-Joke is they use fire hoses to douse the flames and them along with it
On a somewhat related note, it still fascinates me how other fans have gone so long without watching the show that I show them a character like this
