Could be. I might have been mistaken.
I kinda have to disagree about X7 because it was just trying to be so radically different from every other X game (and really Megaman in general), a few of its concepts could have worked if they knew how to better execute them (and consequently those concepts were the ones that carried over to the far better X8), they just didn’t know how to do it at the time. X6 on the other hand was just shovelware.
The voice acting certainly is better.

It’s actually a pretty good game. The only downsides are that the Chaser bike level is terrible and some of the mid bosses are really annoying. Aside from that the game is fun to play and one of the best MMX.
They also brought back the only good thing from X7 and it was the Tag system, and it gets a lot of interesting uses, like getting rid of several traps, or helping avoid some bosses attacks.
Better than X6 and X7, so I’m told. Haven’t played, myself.
Hows X8?
X6 was bad because Capcom forced them to rush it out. X7 is the one where they didn’t care.
That is for the finale.
I give BN1 a pass because it was the first of the new series and they we’re still trying to figure what was this series identity. StarForce 2, To this day I don’t know what went wrong.

X6 was just a throwaway, in my books that puts it below X7, BN1, and BN4 because those games were bad because of incompetence, they didn’t know what they were doing or how to do it. X6 and Star Force were bad because they didn’t care enough to make them not bad.

While it was better than X7, Battle Network 4 and Star Force 2 (only comparing with bad Mega Man games), I still hate that game. The only thing I like was the Ice boss, that fight is amazing.
It’s a shame I no longer have a PS2 and a copy of Mega Man X8.
yep he was green looking a lot like Boba Fett from Star Wars and Cutman appears in the Optic Sunflower stage it depends what platform you pick he is a Hidden Boss in the game
