Retrospectively its also strange because I’ve also always been a PC gamer. Commander Keen, Sim City (I want to play 2k again so badly but I couldn’t get it to run on XP let alone 7. The newer games add too much bullshit, I liked how simple 2k was. Also because I could customize how everything looked with art packs.) the old Jump Start games when I was in grade school, muthafuckin Starcraft, then Warcraft 3 when it finally came out. Civilization II, and nowadays I’m addicted to Civ V.
The only shooters I’ve really played were the old Hexen games, Descent, then nothing until TF2 (which Steam says I’ve sunk 900-some hours into) and the Borderlands series, except if you wanna consider it one, the gamecube port of Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory (which I now have on PC thanks to Steam)

Honestly? No. I didn’t really grow up with many shooters. I was an adventure platformer kid. Banjo Tooie’s still my most nostalgic game of all time and I was super pissed when my cartridge’s internal battery died and could no longer hold a save file.
@Keith Mowz
Do you remember playing Assault mode in Unreal Tournament? That was great stuff back in the day.
I’ve been meaning to install UT99 to play some botmatches. Get one of those maps with weird lighting, fantastic atmosphere, and low gravity, and you’ll have a really cool experience. The soundtrack has some great space-out music, toom

There’s a video version in the description.
I can watch the video, but I don’t have any option to download it.

Arena FPS games need a comeback. Tribes: Ascend had a restrictive unlocking system, had trouble holding on to a community, and is no longer recieving updates.
Here’s hoping that the new Unreal Tournament works out well.
Looks amazing!!! thank you
It’s already there! :-)

This one is better.

(In my opinion).

Hopefully Overwatch will be as awesome as we’ve come to expect Blizzard games to be.

I think 24 megabytes for a gif image is a bit much, though. I’ll poke around to see if I can find a webm.
