That’s added to give a transparent effect.
However, they aren’t transparent as you can’t see through them (except for the nucleus).
You can’t see Fluttershy through Rarity.
If this also means that you’re saying Rarity is white, but looks purple due to being transparent against a purple background – that’s not how transparent white works.
@Fimbulvinter
Transparent? No they’re not…
Look at where they overlap, you can’t see through them.
Also, are you saying Rarity looks purple because she’s transparent white? She would then look lighter than the background, never darker. – I might have misunderstood you here.
Dash: Rarity, your mane IS slime.
Rarity AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Thanks Nova ^^
@Solar’s Wrath
Either way, let’s agree to not let this earn a ‘drama in the comments’ tag.
suppose to be transparent is something else.
Not the same as being transparent in the final result.
But see what you get as an answer.
I’m not saying that… Anyway I’ll ask Nova if they are supposed to be transparent or not

Part of it is also the background bleeding though due to the transparency effects on each of their bodies.
But yes, a white coloured, gooey, dripping mare would probably be a little bit suspect.
As George Takei would say. “Oh My…”
Its only because Nova haven’t found a good looking white
Having a pony drenched in white goo might have looked… wrong.
Unless she spawns food made from herself to do it like The Greedy, it’d be impossible.
It’s one of the little flourishes that drew me to investigate commissioning NovaSpark in the first place - that extra little detail.
How have I missed this after all this time?
