I remember being 9 in 2005-2006 and at my school we had one toilet for both sexes and this little girl no older than 6 proudly told me out of nowhere “I can pee in the urinal because I have a vulva!” and I just stammered “huh… good for you I guess”.

There are plenty of designs for female urinals that have been proposed, since one of the primary purposes of a urinal is simply to save space and time and cut wait times to bathrooms.
 
Though I’ve been told that even in cases where there are numerous complaints about long wait times for female restrooms, they’re almost universally rejected as an option by the complainants. That is to say, we could have female urinals, but most women don’t seem to want them when given the option.
 
At least that’s what I remember hearing. It’s been a while since I’ve heard about it, so my memory could be faulty or trends may have changed since then.

Because of basic anatomy. A female human’s urethra points straight at the ground, while a male’s points outward, and can even be aimed somewhat.

If you think about it, it should be Cel peeing because of “Sunny D’s yellow fluid”, and Luna taking a dump because the old english for a chamberpot’s contents was “night soil”.

I think ‘letting loose’ carries more risk of peeing on your clothes. You generally want to miss those.

The peeing standing up thing is really overblown. I don’t see why women can’t just spread and let loose. If it’s outside with tons of room, then aiming isn’t really an issue.
 
So nah, I don’t see it as something that special. Pee is pee. Unirnation is urination. A urethra is a urethra. The only difference is length and nerve endings. All we have is the ability to aim properly.

I guess maybe amazing isn’t the right word. Maybe surprising? The thing is one of the attributes that makes a man a man is being able to pee standing up. It’s why men’s bathrooms have urinals and women’s don’t. Having that taken away from us as a defining, unique characteristic is kind of disconcerting. But it’s also cool as fuck. So YMMV.
