Perfect setup for a growing up/growth spurt/puberty-based moral. Plus, stuff about not fitting old clothes, dealing with getting teased or shunned in middle school, learning new social norms for another age range, et cetera. :3
 
(I chose middle school because six year olds who watched the show in Fall 2010 are likely thirteen year olds in or about to enter middle school in Spring 2017. ^w^ )

I figure she’s younger, noticeably smaller in the flashbacks to Twi’s childhood because she was not fully grown then. Kids babysit younger kids all the time, after all.
 
Give it a 500 years, and she’ll be Luna-sized while Twi is permanently the way she was when she started to go super saiyan in the S4 finale. 500 more, Cady will be Tia-sized and Twi will be Luna-sized.
 
Though if it were going to happen in the show, I think it’d be overnight when you get princessy enough, and there’d be wacky hijinx dealing with nothing fitting anymore and bumping heads into doors and such. And maybe this is when she’d worry about if she’s going to outlive her friends.

I’m thinking, after the hopefully far-off end of this series, whenever there’s a G5, instead of a full reboot it could be something like, a new mane six in the distant future with a Twilight who’s something like this:
