Wow. It’s neat to see him talking about older stuff. I’d have absolutely loved to see Laron’s original episode! That sounded amazing!
 
They could have easily just dropped Games Ponies Play and did a two-parter for MMC. I like the idea of Celestia getting directly involved in trying to fix this powerful magic.

Yup, figures it was a series finale, Twilight becoming the alicorn is a rather obvious end game. She’s being groomed to be a princess after all, being crowned with barely 2 years of teaching is certainly precarious but that’s just the backdoor politics of Hasbro getting in the way.
 
I hope they make some reference of the fact she was crowned too early, or in the least END the series with the other 5 becoming alicorns, always thought alicorns weren’t a genetic race but simply an achievement of high magical enlightenment. Continuing from that could be wonderfully bizarre though.
 
By the way, is M.A. Larson the only writer of note in the series? He’s the only guy I always hear bronies talking about.

While I still think Magical Mystery Cure is a great episode, this video certainly explains why it was all over the place. I hope they use that Pandora’s Box concept in a future episode, because it has a lot of potential. I’d also like to see them do that book end in the real series finale.

Kinda makes all the heat he got from some fans over that episode a bit ironic, sense apparently it didn’t turn out exactly how M.A. Larson intended it either.

Yeah, the episode sure felt like an ending, because it was: the book closes and that’s it. That’s what he wrote. But they changed it all and… we’ve been incorrectly blaming Larson for everything for 2.5 years?

If only the fandom could take this concept and make it into a legit episode.

Yeah I had long suspected that MMC was written as the series finale, and now that’s confirmed. I wish they’d kept the Pandora’s Box idea, I mean it’d still be rushed but it would be more clear what Twilight did.

Why not? It’s always cool to learn new stuff about the old stuff. One of my favorite panels was one where he discussed the Cutie Mark Chronicles.
