Chrysalis might not, but Price and Cook definitely do I think, I mean they threw in stuff like pictures of Applejack on Rarity’s bedstand before, and they are Price’s favorites. well they did before Cook lost her mind and forgot how to write Rarity.

@Minus

That’s shippers in every fandom, I find the people who proclaim they are only around for porn and freak out whenever you imply that’s really weird are far worse.

Characterization isn’t a great thing if it’s shit characterization, Yes, the Reflections arc probably gives Celestia more characterization than most of the show, but it was pretty damn bad characterization that made her look like an idiot who would doom the world over her crush, and lets not even get started on how freaking obnoxiously Luna is written by Cook.

It's bad. In a good way!
Shippers are becoming one of the most obnoxious things in this fandom these days. All I ever see anymore is “This ship is totally canon!” with them posting stupid stuff like this.

And the comments instead focus on comic drama?! Guys at least cause the RIGHT drama! Even if the comics aren’t canon, they’re damn well written and give charaterisation to otherwise dull characters. So I’ll think of them as canon, at least until the show catches up to them. What the officials say wont affect my preference for the comics.

I prefer to call them “supplementary canon.” They’re specifically written to fit in between the events in the show in such a way that they can be considered to have happened without affecting the overall continuity. They can be canon if you so choose, but can also just as easily be disregarded if you want.

They’ve created a perfect system where everybody gets to be right, and people still feel the need to argue about it.

Comics are canon but secondary canon (canon until proven otherwise in the show in the event a contradiction comes up). Rarijack is heavily teased and they’re relationship’s totally changed and gotten deeper over seasons but not canon in the show… yet, anyway.

Because we all know the word “pairing” strictly means something involving romance, and has no other meanings at all.
