If it’s anything like what everyone else does, I imagine it’s really cute, lovey, and cheesy. I’ve never seen dm29’s writing, but I’ve seen their art, and all due respect, it looks the same as every other FlashLight picture on the internet.
 
I simply stated that CheeriMac did not seem to me to be a particularly inspired ship that seemed the kind one might do just for the sake of shipping, which you chose to take quite personally. How you took that as being condescending, I may never know.
 
I never said my personal view is the all. In fact, I stated that I ‘didn’t like’ those ships. You’re the one who decided it was fighting words.

I enjoy Flashlight when written well. I dislike the show version of it, but the kind done by dm29 and kilala97 are very well done and believable. A good writer can make any ship sail.
 
My main issue is you are very condescending. Somebody doesn’t agree with you, so they are wrong. You speak like you are the ultimate authority on anything.
 
Your preference for LunaMac is guilty of exactly the same things you are accusing mine of.
 
Just acknowledge that your personal view isn’t the be all, end all of shipping, and this conversation will be done and over with.

No offense, but that sounds like an incredibly silly reason to be offended, especially considering that I don’t even know you. Secondly, I never said your view was less valid, I simply said it was one of those ones where the characters are paired together just because. Doesn’t make it valid, just less interesting.
 
Thirdly if you like FlashLight for any reason you can’t hate shipping for the sake of shipping too much.

I’m a writer. I take offense to you accusing me of shipping for the sake of shipping, since that is something I am vehemently AGAINST. Just because someone doesn’t agree with you doesn’t mean their view is any less valid.

Never said CheeriMac was bad, just said I didn’t like it. It just doesn’t have appeal for me is all. LunaMac I like though because you have the socially awkward Luna with the quiet Big Macintosh. It’s a duality thing.

I dislike CheeriMac and FlashLight because they both amount to the same thing; ships that exist soley for the sake of shipping. You don’t care about the characters, you care about their relationship.
 
LunaMac however is one I like. Still prefer TwiMac but LunaMac is good too.

Actually, this is completely sound advice, particularly if the work you’re engaging in is completely different from what you’re stuck on. At minimum it forces you to take your mind off one problem to focus on the more immediate, and thus lets you come back to the original problem fresh. At times, you may get a brainstorm while doing the other work.

Makes as much sense as the rest of the comic.

I for one, really dig TwiMac or CheeriMac or FlutterMac…
